The POC-40 compact computer based on the Atom X6211E processor released Neousys. The manufacturer positions POC-40 as an embedded controller, i.e. Compact platform for working with remote I / O modules, as well as to monitor local devices through a terminal connection. The computer is designed to work in industrial conditions, it works at negative temperatures and can be installed, including on board vehicles.
The 6-watt ATOM X6211E processor installed on the computer system board does not allocate a lot of heat when working and for cooling it is quite an ignorant scheme. The radiator serves the entire body of the device and especially one of its covers equipped with ribs to increase the surface area. The processor will need DDR4-3200 RAM in the Sodimm construct. The maximum amount of memory is 32 GB. A disk drive for locating the operating system and data, the computer uses M.2 SSD 2280 M-KEY. Expansion boards are M.2 3052 B-Key and 2230 E-KEY slots.
The computer case is made of aluminum and steel parts, and is designed to install on DIN rail and most of the external connections are placed on the front panel. This is (from top to bottom): two USB 2.0 bus jacks, two Gigabit Ethernet ports, two USB bus jacks 3.1, video output DisplayPort, power supply.
Two DB9 connections are displayed on the top panel of the case. One of the connectors is the standard universal interface RS-232/422/485. Three RS-232 (RX / TX) interfaces are displayed for the second contacts.
The computer requires a direct current source with a voltage of 12 ~ 20 volts. In the four-pin power input connector, there is a contact for the IGN signal and the inclusion button. Computer power circuit is able to control the status of the IGN line and can be programmed both on the power on and on the shutdown of the ignition.
