A rumor appeared on yesterday after the mosquito Ensaka noticed that AMD prepares a new model in accordance with the changes entered in the AMD software. It is rumored that this is the third Navi 24 graphics processor for desktop PC after RX 6500XT and RX 6400, the latter will soon be released for the DIY market after its quiet launch for OEM manufacturers in January.
According to the AMD themselves, the performance API of the graphics processor already supports the new SKU RX 6300 in the latest version 3.10. This is the first indirect confirmation that such a desktop part is really preparing. The change log is specifically mentioned by the RX 6300, and not the RX 6300M, which is already available for laptops.
Radeon RX 6300 will probably take the lowest level in the entire RDNA2 line. This part is likely to have a reduced memory amount of up to 2 GB, which is the current configuration used by its mobile analogue (RX 6300M).
AMD can also consider the possibility of reducing the number of streaming processors, but this will make a already slow graphics processor even slower, to such an extent that instead it would be possible to consider APU or processors with embedded graphics processors.
