Machine-building Association "Rosatom" completed tests of a new pump to pump liquefied gas. The testing process began at the end of 2021. All tests took place in St. Petersburg on a stand, which is a platform for laboratory tests of large LNG objects. There is no analogues in Europe. We have already written about the stand here.

To date, the ENC 2000/241 pump has no equal in productivity in the country. With it, it will be done by pumping liquefied gas from storages on board of gas carriers and vice versa. On average, the volume of pump feed will be 2000 m³ / h. Checked equipment for strength and reliability for three months. All tests were successful.

Atomenergomash is currently the only manufacturer of medium-and large-tonnage pumps LNG. Now the development of this industry is a priority for the Russian Federation.

However, the company works not only above the pumps of LNG of various capacities and dimensions. Atomenergomash has established a production of spiral heat exchangers. The development of technological elements for icebreakers, tankers and other LNG objects is also underway.

In connection with the decree of the President of the Russian Federation on import substitution, non-national enterprises are tirelessly working on new projects. The goal of Russia is to achieve "technological independence." According to officials, today the share of import substitution in critical sectors is 80-100%.
