AMD Raphael processors are already undergoing graphics tests

** Phoronix Test Suite is a testing platform that supports various tests and operating systems. This is a comprehensive set of tools with which companies can automate the testing process to test stability or product performance. These results can later be downloaded to the Openbenchmarking website, where you can find interesting results, including for prototypes.
One of these tested devices was the engineering model of the AMD Ryzen 7000 processor under the code name Raphael. The OPN code is 100-000000666 actually coincides with the coded scooter at the beginning of this year. This is an 8-core and 16-flow Zen4 processor, which allegedly accelerates to 5.21 GHz, according to software. The processor operates on the reference platform SPLINTER-RPL AM5 for the next generation Ryzen processors:
More importantly, now we have an identifier of the built -in graphics of the Zen4 desktop processor. Let me remind you that Raphael will be the first main Ryzen platform with built -in graphics. Until now, it was an area for mobile APU Ryzen, some of which were later re -released as a GR series for desktop PCs. Raphael processors will go in the exact opposite direction, debuting on desktop computers, and then switching to mobile devices, like high -performance gaming processors with a capacity of 55 watts under the code name “Dragon Range”, at least rumors like this. In fact, this is what happened to Alder Lake-S silicon, which is now available for mobile HX series enthusiasts.
The Raphael integrated graphics has the GFX1036 identifier, which is part of the same branch GFX1030 as the Beige Goby, Yellow Carp and Van Gogh, all of which are IGPU RDNA2. That is why the IgPU Radeon Audio controller is defined as “Rembrandt” - the code name for a series of mobile processors Ryzen 6000.
As for real tests, they were clearly not full at the full frequency of the graphic processor. Currently, they are on the same level with some old integrated solutions for graphic processors, definitely far from at the Vega/XE-LP level or even at the Van Gogh level (Igpu Steam Deck). However, it should be noted that the IGPU Raphael is not intended for games. This graphics is a companion for powerful nuclei of the Zen4 CPU, the main purpose of which is the display controller or the basic media decoder.
It is expected that a series of desktop PC AMD Ryzen 7000 will be launched around September. Soon, the company will hold the main report by Computex 2022 (May 24), which can be expected by updated information about Zen4 consumer processors.
